After decades of collecting all things under the sun from the uniquely unusual to the mundane I feel it's time to share some of the more interesting items from the collection. Growing up in the shadow of Manhattan I learned to appreciate the Art Nouveau and Art Deco influences of the architecture that surrounded me. I also learned to see the beauty of items that were created to be functional but have the design features of a more artistic time. Hopefully you will enjoy the items I share and see the beauty in them as I do.
Woodcliff on the Hudson is the early 1900's name of a section of New Jersey across the Hudson River from New York City's Upper West Side. Most living in this section now wouldn't recognize the name or the area's rich history but I thought I'd honor it here and over time share some of it's past.
