Ancient Roman silver ring with a nicolo intaglio of Minerva in helmet carrying lance and bow. This ring is about 1,900 years old and is in good condition. Among ancient intaglio ring collectors the most coveted are intaglios in stone set in rings of precious metal. While most antiquities are difficult to document this ring was published as part of an important European collection, item # 249 as shown in the image taken from the book.
